Great friends

"It has been eight days since my last post." (I'm trying to go for the confessional "it's been nine months since my last confession" sort of thing. I don't think it's working.) That's not such a long time but it seems like forever. I guess I've been busy again.

Last weekend I really noticed how much I like my friends. They're just great. Thanks "guys", you really made my day. Or like three days. I had a really nice time last weekend and I may have time to realte some of the best parts before I have to catch a train to go see my folks.

Friday I was supposed to go climbing and then to a friends but the climbing didn't work out because of baseball. I hate baseball (Finnish, American and softball, all of them). Well as it was I got to my friends place earlier, which was nice. Even nicer since he'd graduated and we got to celebrate. But the best part was when we decided to watch an episode of Star Trek from my new Klingon box of DVDs. OS: Trouble with Tribbles. Loads of humor in that episode. But it wasn't the actual episode that was the best. It was just at the opening credits after the "Space the final frontier" thing. See as the music started all three of us watching the show spontaneously started doing this funny very "in to it" dance with our hands. It was hilarious. See I did it of course since it was like the thing to do and I know the newly graduated friend might do it but the fact that all three of us started doing the dance thing was just so funny. It wasn't planned or anything you see. I think it was just like-minded people getting together. It was great.

Then on Saturday I went to play some board games with other friends (and the bnd) and had a great time. Everything just seemed to work out even though I don't think I won any games. It was one of those "it's just fun being me with these people" sort of things. I do have to comment on this funny thing one of my friends said when I was explaining how I like fun easy games where you can win with good luck or something of the sort. And he was like "just like your mental life (sielunelämä)". It was a real "got me" -moment. Very funny. :)

Then on Sunday I got loads of cake. Very yummy. Made some food myself. Very yummy and uncommon these days. And I went to play badminton. A rather good day. And all in all a very nice weekend. That was of course partly caused by the bnd with whom I used up most of the time.

But that's all I have time for. Now it's off to spend another weekend.
