Becoming a Crystallographer

This is the blog of a future crystallographer, not that crystallography is the main area of discussion. I'll maybe mention it once in a while, while writing about my life and other things.

After the party

Wow, I've been busy. At work and otherwise too. Haven't had time to write at all. I blame the party for my freetime being sort of limited. It seemed like the week before the party I did nothing but stuff for it and then after it was done my appartment was such a mess even though the party wasn't even there that it took me till yesterday to get it cleaned. Of course things like meetings and climbing and the bnd have seemed loads more important than the cleaning but that's just life.

I think I sort of freaked out on Tuesday with the lack of time and all. See, the fact that my laundry did not dry properly in the dryer was just the last straw. I was totally wanting to throw a television off my balcony or go beat up kids in the street. Of course I don't have a television and beating up kids in the street is just totally not like me. I was just really annoyed and really annoyed about being annoyed and not being able to get it out properly (i.e. the usual batch). The bnd was sort of confused at my acting but luckily it all worked out in the end. I did not beat up kids (or the bnd) and I did not go looking for televisions to throw out windows. I guess I just sort of talked it through "like grown-ups" or something. I got over the annoyance and it turned out to be a nice night in the end. Even though my appartment was full of almost dry towels.

Uh oh the party. It was great. Fabulous. I had tons of fun. I think most people had tons of fun. If you missed the party, you missed a great one. And you missed my fab hair. I had it pink, crepped and up with two ponytails. Thanks to my sister for doing a great job with it. The punch was great (thanks to me and the bnd for mixing most of it) and the food was great (thanks to people who brought food and helped put it out for people to eat it). The company was also great. And greatest of all, people really got in to the theme and I think everybody had fun with it. It was brilliant. And Guitarhero and Singstar were really popular too. And I am planning on putting up picture on the web someplace. I'll let the participants know the adress and soon as I get around to it.

An then. I had a really great weekend again last weekend. Loads more relaxing than the last. I got to sleep late and had good food and good company. What more could a girl ask for. And then I got my new glasses. I ordered them on Wednesday and they were done on Saturday. Really fast. Now I have new glasses. Plastic frames with a bit more personality than my old ones. And they're like sort of dark red.

And I'm going to London next weekend with the bnd. I don't think I've written about it. The bnd has booked everything and I'm just going along. I think I need to check put what I want to see sometime this week. It should be great. We're leaving on Friday and coming back on Monday. I can't wait. I've never been to London. It should be interesting.

But I guess I should get to work though it is sort of feeling like a Monday. I got tons done in the morning but now it's seeming harder.

Glad to see you and your flat survived the party nicely as well. Took me a while to figure out of the bnd stands for but after putting together who you might be hanging with and where he might live it sort of dawned on me.

Oh btw, you have been to London ;) ...but that was WAY back.. :) Take care when you go, it's got all the benefits and the letdowns of a bit city...

I thought that we did not go to London on that big England tour... But who am I to say. All I remember is accidentally buying the smallest bag of candy. :( And a humongous spider. hihii.

I asked mom and she said we drove by London but never actually visited it. Like as in we might have seen Tower Bridge maybe but that's all.

Now that I think of it I do remember singing "London Bridge is falling down" in the car. Or maybe it's just my imagination. But it was ages ago anyways.
